Hypothesis involving behaviors, neural pathways, and how to approach treatments for maladaptive behaviors?

i believe that you are right about this....but lets look even further into invasive treatment....although lobotomies are considered archaic and barbaric (specifically because of all the foul-ups in the late 1800s early 1900s) our technology today is so much more advanced that perhaps this form of invasive treatment could be used to "rewire" the brain, but i would only suggest this as prototype/exploratory surgery for lets say serial/occult killers....wouldn't it be interesting to see what would happen to charles manson if we could somehow redirect the way he thinks and find that rehabilitation through this process is possible...im not saying that serial killers on death row should be treated inhumanely although the compionate for the victim side of me says its okay....but even serial killers by law have rights so this would be a tough one to fight....further....if it were successful then that means its possible to help stroke victims who have lost certain motor skills and body functions because we may be able to reconnect those sensors
