How do I clean my toy poodles eyes?

I have two, black toy poodles, and I'm wondering if there is an easier and/or better way of cleaning the leakage/crustiness that exudes from their eyes. I use warm water and warm teabags, but it seems it comes back more and more. Does anybody have a better solution, literally and figuratively? THANK YOU!
