Question about the story of Adam and Eve?

We all know Eve ate the "forbidden fruit" but i was thinking, maybe the "forbidden fruit" was with the Devil? Now don't get all offensive about this, but it makes sense because remember when Cain killed Abel? and God wouldn't accept Cain's sacrifice?? And also, in the bible the Canaanites were evil people, right??? Maybe because Cain was satan's son??? What do you think??
