Pokemon Diamond Question, on breeding.?

I am rather obsessive about my pokemon. I like to raise any pokemon I have from an egg, starting at level one. Now, unlike some, I like dittos for more than just baby makers. However...is there no way, at all, for me to get a ditto egg, so that I may raise it from level 1, in diamond? Also, do everstones work on dittos, for getting their nature to carry over to eggs, as with female pokemon? Thank you.
